A clearer picture.
A better conversation.
Patch assurance and vulnerability evidence for MSPs and IT/security teams. Nimstead Business is a platform in development: understand coverage, investigate uncertainty and explain the evidence behind a patch report.
Patch assurance, with context
“Unknown” is
useful information.
A device without recent evidence should not disappear into a reassuring total. Knowing where confidence ends is part of knowing where to start.
Example application
Unknown- Observed version
- 4.2
- Source
- Inventory import
- Observed at
- 2 October 2026, 09:40
- Vulnerability match
- Not established
There isn’t enough evidence to call this unaffected.
Understand what “unknown” meansWhat exists today
Built around
the evidence.
The development application includes inventory, findings, exceptions and historical reports. It is currently demonstrated with synthetic data and is not an available production service.
Read the evidence guide- See coverage and its limits.
Separate client inventories show what is known, what is missing and what needs a fresh check. Each observation keeps its source in view.
- Investigate and record exceptions.
Explore findings and management exceptions without erasing the underlying evidence or pretending an exception fixes a vulnerability.
- Keep a historical record.
Implemented reporting exports snapshots as JSON, CSV and HTML. Reports describe recorded evidence; they do not certify compliance or guarantee the current state of a device.

The wider direction
From understanding
to controlled action.
Controlled remediation is part of the product direction. Approval and evidence work is in development; live endpoint execution is not available.
Important limits, plainly stated.
Vulnerability matching is still in development. Unmatched findings remain “unknown”; this preview does not provide comprehensive CVE detection.
There is no public dashboard, production endpoint service or customer-qualified remediation workflow to sign into. Business is a separate product from Nimstead Updater, not a pricing tier.
