This notice describes this website. It does not make promises about the separate Updater or Business products.

What this site does

The website serves pages, images, fonts and a small amount of interface code. It does not include analytics, advertising, session replay, chat widgets, account registration or a contact form.

Your theme preference

If you choose a colour theme, the site stores that choice in your browser’s local storage under nimstead-theme. It is used to remember your preference between pages and visits. It is not sent to a Nimstead application server. Choosing “System” follows your device preference; clearing this site’s browser data removes the saved setting.

Hosting and page requests

The production site is configured for Cloudflare Workers. When a hosted page is requested, the hosting provider necessarily handles request information such as the IP address, requested URL and browser headers to deliver and protect the service.

No additional request logging or analytics is implemented by this website. Cloudflare’s own processing is described in its privacy policy. Hosting account settings and provider retention are separate from this site’s interface code.

Examples stay in your browser

The interactive update explanation uses fixed example data. It does not scan your PC, contact an update provider or send a selection to a server. Product screenshots use synthetic fixtures.

Links to other sites

If you follow an external link, the destination has its own privacy practices. This site sends no referrer information with those requests.
